Violaslontus lignumpurpla
Evolved from T. purpa that moved to zone b due to a lack of competition. They evolved and now started to eat rotten wood but still eat polyphs.
Found at Zone B they get 20-35cm long. Their color has darken and changed to camouflage in the rotting wood of M. sustensa. They however are still semi arboreal and may live in burrows under the tree itself. They feed on dead organisms, rotting wood (especially M. sustensa), and M. arcaica. They use their small teeth to scrape off rotten wood and eat it which they have a digestive system specialize in eating rotting wood or rotting meat. They developed spikes on their face to defend territory from other competitors, female mates or rotting wood. They live in groups of 2-5 usually only having one male and the rest are females. When there’s a large storm they quickly return to their burrows or dig and burry themselves then go dormant until the storm is gone. They can sense the storm by the vibrations and reawaken when they stop. When breeding the male will mate with multiple females and then the female lay eggs (up to 10-20 but 3-8 survive) underground. When the eggs hatch the babies start to find rotting wood to feed and are independent of their parents. They are semi arboreal species climbing on trees to mark territory.
