H. pererrous features long, sticky seaweed-like legs that allow water currents to carry it around, allowing it to drift into Zone 5. Its legs are mostly ineffective for manual movement, so they generally rely solely on water currents.

Like C. impetus, they have adapted quite easily to consume the seeds of P. flotatortensis. Their sticky legs accumulate seeds and other debris which they feed into their mouths. They are able to digest other organic materials, but do not prefer to do so and will avoid it when possible.
