Trifurcalophus panivore

From OurFoodChain

Descended from Oculolophus latadorsus and residing in Zone K, O. panivore is at a glance very similar to its ancestor in behavior except for one key difference--it will eat anything and everything it can fit in its mouth, including other muscals. As there is no competition for meat-eating, it has grown to a somewhat larger size, ranging from 28-30 cm in length when mature. Its body is also wider than its ancestor's to accommodate larger meals. Though it doesn't have a developed jaw, it can still pull its mouth wide open with strong facial muscles. Its abdominal "limb" muscles, in addition to granting it greater speed like its ancestor, also allow it to crush meals that would otherwise be too large after swallowing them. Its echolocation crest has a distinct shape, which allows it to identify members of its own species more easily. Like its ancestor, it will attempt to mate with any member of its species it comes across. It lays clutches of 25 eggs and takes 6 weeks to mature. It preys on the musculata O. acrilluda, O. caecus, and O. latadorsus (as well as their eggs), and the polyphyta A. caesicoles.
