Terracrabus killacrabus
Evolved from T. primacrabbus this species started to eat their own kind due to competition with the food resources and a lack of predator drove some to be cannibalistic. They developed more muscular legs to jump and ambush prey while also developing sharper claws to breakj the chitin of prey.
Found in zone J they have a carapace width of 20cm with a carapace length of 8cm they climb on rocks and live solitarily. They prey on T. primacrabbus, minerals in the rocks and T. primacrushus which they ambush them by jumping on top of them then crushing them with their claws. They only feed on prey noticeably smaller then themselves. They do not directly kill prey but rip off limbs to feed on it or break the carapace to killing it is a rare sight. They use the minerals to gain the hardness of their shells. They have gills use to that store water in its carapace and creating bubbles to oxygenate itself it can survive up to 1 day without water and need to refill it water with either brackish or saltwater. When breeding males will find a female via smelling its pheromones that is released via gills the pheromones travel by air attracting any male nearby. The male mates on land(due to high salt concentrations can damage the embryo of the eggs and only can tolerate brackish) with the female and the female carries the eggs(up to 30-50 eggs only 10-20 survive due to failed molts, drowning and etc) to keep the eggs moist. Once the eggs hatch the babies go fully independent and fend for themselves. Their exoskeletons are chitin.
