Descended from T. extensiensus and living in zone 3, this plant has taken to spreading itself out across the seafloor instead of growing upwards due to a buoyancy issue originally that caused the plant structure to not float naturally. This leads to the seafloor becoming a carpet of Taxonomum. The seed pods now grow on the ends of the “arms” to allow easier and more efficient spreading. Each arm may grow 10 feet in length, branching off a maximum of 4 times. These branches help the plant grow denser in a certain area. It grows at 2mm per day per branch.
