Sudonomum stringiensis

From OurFoodChain

Evolved from seeds of Taxonomum vinensis that fell back into the waters of zone 9. They adapted to just grow as single strands that hang onto the shores. They usually grow in groups of 3-8, with each strand reaching around 2 feet long. They are classified under a new genus due to them lacking seed pods, as their seeds grow only on the base of the plants during warm months.
