Due to recent heavy predation, a population of Stichodactyla filterous slowlymigrated to the northernmost part of zone 3.
Since there was an excess of marine snow blown into zone 3 from 2, they no longer needed to expose their feeding feathers an simply use them to pick up snow on the sea floor. As a result, the feathers have grown shorter and lower. Their stingers have grown extremely long, due to the excess of food, and the outermost ones now droop to protect their feathers. The stingers are also slightly mobile and can pass any marine snow to the feathers for digestion. They reproduce the same way as their ancestor does
