Serpiwyverious raptordracornis

From OurFoodChain

Evolved from D. albatrogornis specimens from zone B found out that there are other
nutritious animals to eat. They developed longer legs to run after land prey if they miss their grabbing attack from the sky.
Found in zone B they usually fly in the sky and rest on trees frequently as they are still light enough to stand on trees even thought they have long legs and can fly for up to 1.8-2.8 hours. When they spot prey they try to grab it and pin it down then slash it with its talon or trash it with its jaw. If they miss their prey they run and chase their prey with their long legs using its jaw to bite or grab prey and trash it( they have a success rate of 45%).They even will prey on flying creatures by flying above them then pin them down to the ground then kill it then eat it. They get 2 feet with a wingspan of 3.1 feet. They live solitarily but are very territorial they just display and peck for awhile until one flies off. They prey on D. purpurus, T. lignumpurpla, A. flectopesus and , they even will kill and eat lonely P. purplensis( rarely). When breeding males would clean an area of land (1 meter diameter) during winter and call for a female. Once a female comes it will display is wings and open its crest feathers and jump and hop around. If the female accepts the males mating ritual they would then mate and the female would fly off. The female will then lay her eggs in her nest that she will build out of sticks and bones on top of trees before she lay her eggs the next 2 days. A female can lay up to 2-7 eggs but only 2-5 surviving. Once the egg hatch (in spring usually) the female would take care of the young until they grew into young adults (in 1 year from hatchling to subadult). The female would teach her younglings how to fly when they are subadult and then chase them off the nest so they can fend for themselves. Males usually have a iridecent blue crest with red tips with the rest of the body greenish brown and having blueish feathers in color while females are fully brown with slightly blue feathers.
