This spined predecessor to early fish was reminiscent of an eel, with a long body and thin tail. However, it had also begun to evolve more similarly to a fish, with gills regulating the fish's water and breathing, and three pairs of barely developed fins allowing for faster and longer travel. Before becoming extinct due to superior true fish, the Protochthyus iuncti evolved from Protoslontus Adorbsfaceus.
