Propisces duraspinus

From OurFoodChain
Extinct (January 23rd, 2019): No reason provided.

As Protochthyus came to inhabit the sea, competition arose among them and this causes the fastest fishes to be selected for. P. duraspinus has developed, not only a hard, cartilaginous spine, but a skeleton, also made out of cartilage. The skeleton allows more complex muscle attachments to be made which gives this early fish swimming power. It, like it's ancestors, lives in zone 9. P. duraspinus mostly eats marine snow and planktons and churn out babies who convert said food items into more nutritious proteins, fats, etc.
