Bone-Drilling Featherstalk

(Redirected from Polygene osteoskova)

Members of Polygene callioptoma were able to produce enzymes and acids that could dissolve mineralized bones. This allowed them to exploit the high energy bone marrow found inside of tarate bones for nutrition. These members eventually speciated from P. callioptoma and became P. osteoskova.

Polygene osteoskova is quite similar to its ancestor. It still grows to to 5cm tall and produces feathered spore pods to reproduce. It has specialized to decompose tarate corpses. This allows it to expend less energy on producing a variety of enzymes to focus on other things such as reproduction.
