Pinthanatos lattiacorpsi
Evolved from Fungera lattia, as competition for polyph detritus grew with F. lattia those that were capable of producing different enzymes began deomposing muscal flesh and speciated as a result.
Found in zone 21, the zoospores are 10μm and the network reaches 2mm in radius. They decompose proteins in dead muscals. It will grow quickly once the zoospores have settled and it begins growing mycelia. They will not produce any zoospores until the carcass its decomposing is in low supply then it will use stored nutrients to churn out large numbers of zoospores into the water before they die.
They reproduce by releasing large numbers of zoospores into the water hoping it lands on another carcass.
