Pelloslontus wichitensis
Extinct (May 2nd, 2020): Outcompeted by Junctopinna heteropteryx
Descended from O. panzerous and newly adapted to live in the much taller P. twistus, these creatures have evolved the ability to glide. To do so, their arms grew in length and developed flaps of skin in between its arms and its body. It still retains the prehensile tail that its relatives have, as well as some of the armor plating, although much less, as they need to be lighter so they are able to glide, as well as the armor becoming largely obsolete as they are able to avoid attacks by S. spikus much more easily. They grow up to 12cm long and spend their lives gliding between the Plortatus sp. and eating their leaves. They tend to rest and lay their eggs in the twists of P. twistus and they are very territorial of this area.
