Saw Narr
The Saw Narr is a very interesting Nataresukus. This Narr is native to Zone 3, evolving from the Toothed Narr. This fascinating creature has an interesting life cycle. The Saw Narr will begin life as a filter feeder, where it will do the same as the Common Narr. When it reaches its final molt, the Saw Narr will create a chitin inner shell. This inner shell, made up of a single plate that goes through each segment, creates an inner structure. This allows the Saw Narr in its final molt to hunt prey effectively. The Saw Narr mostly goes after vertebrates in their predatory stage. Their sawlike jaws are best to tearing flesh. The skeleton comes in handy when attacking its backboned prey, as it is able to twist and turn with ease, tearing off pieces of its prey, without risking damage to the shell. While this is very cool and awesome, the Saw Narr spends most of its life as a filter feeder, before molting into its Skeleton form (It is unable to molt again, as the chitin Skeleton is fixed and cannot grow). In its skeleton form it will hunt prey like eels, which the female will use to lay its eggs on, where the larva feed off the nutritious meaty carcass, that isn’t as hard to navigate as a shellfish. Because the skeleton is not easy to molt out of the Saw Narr will die when it’s organs burst from overgrowing in its skeleton. It is a painful death
