Armfinned Bronisław
(Redirected from Nantibronislawia brachiupinna)
- Size: 18-25 cm. The larger size grants better protection against carnivores like X. quadrambiguus, who will prefer smaller prey, as well as allowing them to fend off their Nantibronislawia remucauda.
- Reproduction: Sexual with external fertilization. Males will fight for a mate by trying to push them to the muddy bottom. They retain the nub-like hind limbs for covering the eggs in mud.
- Description:
N. brachiupinna is the result of the N. remucauda populations moving to deeper parts of C1 after T. davincii evolved.
Adaptations: The Armfinned Bronisław has developed a larger tail fluke to aid in propelling the larger body along with its arms, which have evolved further into flippers. It also now has a brown colouration on the top of its body to better blend with the mud when seen from above.
