Motoslontus killiskippus

From OurFoodChain

evolved from O. flumucaudus they moved to zone B from floods and storms that wash them into small ponds and puddles in zone B, they became smaller due to the smaller habitat they are in and broader lobed fins which are used to help hem skip/ flop to other puddles if their puddle is evaporating.
Growing up to 8-12cm they are found in puddles and creeks of zone B. When their puddle or creeks is drying out they will flop/ skip to other puddles or creeks to live in.
They feed on rotting plants; fallen leaves of L. clearensis, M. arcaica, M. stellafrons and M. sustensa; and carcass that land in their puddles or creeks. They are usually found in small groups. When spawning they will spawn in substrate in clutches. When the puddle or creek evaporates the egg clutches will trapped water in their eggs and turn dormant until the next rain comes and creates a puddle or creek. They will hatch immediately if the water comes back but if the creek is still there for the entire time they will incubate the next 2 days. Fry are independent of themselves and adults will not eat them(to pass their genes).
