Kelpflotensa gigantkepoma

From OurFoodChain

Evolved from K. titanafloata growing in deeper waters due to intraspecific competition for space The floating part of the polyph grows wider to facilitate a greater amount of photosynthesis to supply sustenance for the deeper anchors.

Found in zone 25 they grow up to 6-7 feet in diameter and the leaves reaching a foot long. The anchors can grow 50-70 meters deep. Water is either absorbed directing or transported to parts that are outside of the water. There are gaps in the floating part that allow light to pass through to the stems and weights which allows them to photosynthesize. They grow rapidly from the seed to anchor onto the substrate.

They grow 10-20 seeds, which are released and drift in the waves to disperse. The seed will germinate, growing a stem to the substrate to anchor the polyph then it will grow the floating part and other anchors. It takes 4.5 months to grow to maturity.
