While Acutognathus fellio was doing well, some of the cockti in Phallucaceae (Phallucaulis fortrutium, Microcaulifolium distatptera, and Microcaulifolium gracilistemus) began outgrowing its height, which posed a problem to shorter individuals that could not access all of the potential food. This eventually selected for individuals that could access the seeds and juices higher up, and thus there was a trend in increasing size. One solution to this was the change of features that are now present in the Giant Cocksucking Needleworm (Acutognathus erectus).

The Giant Cocksucking Needleworm earns its name from its unusually large size compared to its close relatives, as well as its habit of sucking juices from various cockti such as Phallucaulis flacoherbas, Phallucaulis fortrutium, Phallucaulis spermacapturam, as well as the smaller growing saplings of Microcaulifolium distatptera and Microcaulifolium gracilistemus that can be reached into. The Giant Cocksucking Needleworm can grow up to eighty centimeters (80 cm) in length, and up to fifty of those centimeters (50 cm) can be extended upwards to suck out the nutritious seed mixture. It will tap its crest up-and-down at a rate of twice a second (1/2 sec) to percieve its surroundings up to twenty meters (20 m) in front of it, even while it is feeding due to the introduction of predators which it has to watch out for. It can also accurately smell objects from a distance of one meter (1 m) using receptors on its skin.


The Giant Cocksucking Needleworm has also modified some of its body plan to better accommodate its lifestyle. Some of the muscles on the lower part of its torso have increased in size and help to bear its weight while the muscles on its neck have shrunk and become less useful as they are not as often used. The largened structures move back-and-forth underneath the body to move it around and allow the "neck" to stay up nearly permanently by taking turns stretching up and forwards before going back down to their regular position. It's twelve centimeter (12 cm) needle has also lengthened to better access deeper parts of the seeds to consume. The needle is also slightly curved which helps to fend off predators such as the Pinpointer (Thalassaraptor kokovajilotus) and the Pinpricker (Thalassaraptor fundatus) that attack it by inflicting more force at the end of the needle and making its counterback attacks more direct. This is because the Giant Cocksucking Needleworm has developed an instinct to thrash its head and neck around when disturbed, hitting and poking at the threat with its needle to try and drive it away.

Giant Cocksucking Needleworms take fourteen weeks (14 wks) to mature due to their larger size but grow more quickly relative to their size in order to expand out of the size range that Blattealimax panivore, a predator of its offspring, can consume. When mature, Giant Cocksucking Needleworms will mate with other individuals of their species, whether male or female as they have no true form of sexual dimorphism besides for the sexual organs. Females are able to reproduce once a month (1 mo) and now lay around twenty (20) eggs due to the presence of predatory organisms in their ecosystem.
