Gendia lastimosa
A small, aquatic omnivore that lives in zone 28. It’s ancestor is unknown. It is very well adapted to the rocky shallows of its zone. It mainly lives by living in small schools of around 25-50. They consume pretty much anything that can fit in their mouth. They reproduce by laying eggs in the sands and burying them. Each female can only lay 5 or so eggs, but given the size of the schools there can be large amounts of eggs laid in the same area. The males have vibrant colors, ranging from green to orange, where the females remain a more drab brownish-gray color. This color is because of intrasexual selection. They all have one very large eye located on the front of their heads. This eye allows them to have a wide range of view but somewhat poor depth perception. Each individual grows to a length of 6-7cm.
