Sword Eel

From OurFoodChain
(Redirected from Exiakrachelus geliniensis)
Extinct (May 2nd, 2020): Bacterium antemanerecyst and Bacterium kleptospiritus diseases

Evolved from Macrognathusensis pseudogeliniensis.
They traveled to the south, to Zone 3, searching for some new food.
They eat several marine sukapodes. Their main difference to all other eels is the fact that they have two extra limbs, caused by an error in their genome. A celular division went wrong and duplicated the DNA incorrectly. After some genome reconstruction, it ended up working quite well. They use those extra fins to do fast turns and prepare to stab their prey.
They have a new layer of fat under their face armor wich amortiguates impacts. To swim faster, to avoid competition among each other and existing Zone 3 carnivores (ans steal their prey sometimes), the've fastened their metabolism; the new fins also help a lot.
They grow up to about 20 inches or less. Both genders are the same size.
