Epiplortatus flotatortensis

From OurFoodChain

Some floating seeds managed to get to islands of Zone 5. This plant evolved long vines that float over the water. The vines have string-like roots that go all the way to the seafloor. The main trunk is thick and short, to be stable and transport as many minerals as possible, so that only a few subaquatic roots are needed. It grows near the coast. Its leaves are huge and cover the floor. They are dark. They bloom around July and their seeds grow about June.
