Barboslontus whiskerius

From OurFoodChain
Extinct (April 5th, 2020): Outcompeted by Sukalensis gasseri

O. whiskerius is a descendent of Oslontus bydensis that migrated into zone 3. It has evolved to live on the abundant A. greenensis. It also may eat the seed pods dropped by A. hostus, which is the ultimate purpose of its whiskers, to assist it in finding these seeds on the seafloor. It is preyed on by N. skeletoni, however it has grown a much thinner body to avoid being caught as easily. It normally avoids the V. prionopisces by staying away from the shores. It grows to a maximum length of 13cm, and reproduces in numbers of around 30-50, like most sea-faring Oslontus.
