Aevita dissulto
Binomial nomenclature: Aevita dissulto
Zone: 30
Dimensions: 100 nanometres
Description: Descended from Aevita scribo, Aevita dissulto is a microscopic parasite like its ancestor. It lives by parasitising fellow denizens of Zone 30, such as Funglapus despsoili, Leucapil ferrum, Spermafera ferrumvora, Pyrrhocytos draconem and Pyrrhocytos mykatovorrum. However, it differs from its ancestor in one key area. Instead of host cells releasing fully formed instances over time, all of the instances are stored within the host cell until it is incapable of holding any more, allowing for an increase in local infectivity. To increase the space within host cells, the A. dissulto cells are highly compressed while within a host cell, giving them significantly higher velocity upon release than their ancestors. In addition, any organelles not vital to the production of as many A. dissulto as possible are removed to make more space.
