While this descendant of Megaplortatus sustensa is somewhat shorter (only growing 80-110 feet tall) than its cousin, it has made up for it with wide extensions at the base. Combined with the fact that Megaplortatus coilus support some of these plants and that root systems are capable of growing under these extensions, this helps to buttress the plant as to keep it from being uprooted.

In addition to this, Megaplortatus firmumsus grows leaves on the top of its trunk that are extended even further to catch more sunlight to compensate being shorter than other plants. Like in other members of Megaplortatus, their seeds are released en masse in high numbers so that there is a chance thar some of them will survive and grow into new saplings.

Even though these plants are smaller and grow more slowly, they tend to outlast their taller cousins in strong storms as they are more durable with their added support, and can be found filling in the gaps of highly populated areas in the aftermath of one.
