T. flotsis is a species located in Zone O, being near the sea required some floating ablities. Although the relative is unknown, this species is able to thrive. It has four leaves, which all come from a middle “stem”. This stem reaches several feet away from where the leaves lie, and roots spread 12-16 inches out underground. Leaves are 6-10 inches long. During floods, this species leaves simply float to the top of the water due to their long, floppy stems. Thrives on islands closer to sea level due to low competition. Seeds are released from the stems during floods in the chances that seeds will float away.
