Thanos’ Shrub, despite what its name may imply, is just a lowly desert shrub. This descendant of Subplortatus phyllosymplegmus is smaller than its ancestor, allowing it to mature and reproduce more quickly and spread through the desert. It rarely exceeds 1 foot in height, but in favorable conditions with plenty of water and no predation a 3 foot height is possible. Its trunk is usually only half a foot wide. Its leaves, which grow in clusters at the ends of stubby branches, can grow up to a foot long, but are usually trimmed shorter by hungry herbivores. Like its ancestor, it has relatively long leaves and stores most of its water in its trunk. It reproduces asexually, its small black seeds dispersed by the wind.
