Despite its name, Thanos’ Marine Grass is just a lowly marine grass. Descended from Thanos’ Submerged Grass (A. limnizoius), it spread out to sea via where Zone 17 flows out to Zone 4, and it is more tolerant of saltwater and can remove excess salt using specialized proteins to pump it into cells containing specialized vacoules called salt bladders located on the surface of its leaves, allowing it to grow and thrive in a marine environment When the bladders are full, they burst, releasing salt outside the polyph. It thrives all over Zone 4, where the shallow waters give it access to sunlight, allowing it to create a sort of submerged grassland or savannah environment. It can grow up to 2 feet tall, and much like its ancestor its seeds, which are black in color though also a bit heavier than its ancestor's to compensate for the greater density of saltwater, are distributed by water currents. It sprouts when submerged and only stops growing if the water level drops too low for it to respire, which is a rare occurrence over most of its range; as long as it remains mostly submerged, it takes 3 weeks to mature from a seed.
