Terroraptorus raptoratus

From OurFoodChain

Evolved from D. raptordracornis these species were have genes that fused their wing membranes to their arms creating a Slender muscular arm. Their elbows still show wing flaps since it is not properly fused yet. Slender muscular arm flightless variants begin to breed(they survive due to flightless species being available. This created new species that walks quadrupedally which gain an enhance speed but decreased their size due to energy used to produce muscular arms. This species starts targeting prey that are not preyed or has almost no predation by other species to avoid competition

Found in zone B they grow up to 1.5 feet but with arms 2 feet long. They primary hunt during dawn or dusk to avoid being seen easily as they primarily rely on ambush.hey can easily climb Megaplortatus trees due still having talons they have which hook onto the stems while climbing. They hunt P. purplensis, D. audioacrus ,D. raptordracornis, wyvern hatchlings and wyvern eggs. They hunt their prey by ambushing them in the night charging in high speeds which they then slash them with their claws and pin them down. They hunt on the ground and climb trees to steal wyvern eggs and then run away with fast speeds before the wyverns catch them.

When hunting P. purplensis they charge multiple times picking off the pack one by one until they fled due to extreme lost of numbers which they then feast on the P. purplensis corpse it has killed. They also feed on wyvern eggs climbing onto cliffs or Megaplortatus trees to go into nest of wyverns then snacking on the eggs or baby wyverns. They live solitary lives usually can be seen territorial on one and other showing off their feathers for intimidation. They would also wrestle with each other using their arms not risking scratching each other as it would cause them to be severely injured(for both sides). They would wrestle until one becomes tired and runs away

When breeding males would clean an area of land (1 meter diameter) during winter and attract a female with its bright feathers. Once a female comes it will display its feathered and starts to jump as high as it can to show strength and good jumping genes. If the female accepts the males mating ritual they would then mate and the female would run off. The female will then lay her eggs in her nest that she will build out of sticks and bones on top of trees(Since they can climb trees) before she lay her eggs the next 2 days. A female can lay up to 2-7 eggs but only 2-5 surviving due to predation by D. raptordracornis, D. audioacrus and P. purplensis. Once the egg hatch (in spring usually) the female would take care of the young until they grew into young adults (in 1 year from hatchling to subadult). The female would teach her younglings how to hunt when they are subadult and then chase them off the nest so they can fend for themselves. Males usually have a irridecent blue crest with red tips with the rest of the body greenish brown while females are more pale brown
