Tendocirculix eternicales
Descended from tendocirculex flexicoles
Zone 5
Unknown,keeps growing throughout life
adaptations
Not much has changed from T.flexicoles on T.eternicales on the outside except for their often incredulous height, this is due to the fact that eternicales has evolved to ramp up telomerase production so its cells can continue dividing instead of aging due to telomeres wearing down,it removed a lifespan limit to the height of flexicoles and allows it to more effectively feed, but this has however lead to increased cancer, eternicales however accepts this risk because for one it takes a mutation of a cell and those dont happen too often, but also because by the time cancer appears the individual will likely have already reproduced and left offspring behind, the tentacles are around the same size as flexicole’s tentacles and have the same purpose, as of now the purpose of the different color is likely to blend in with the background water better so they can easily catch such dumb things
feeding
T.eternicales is also a filter feeder capturing stray floating seeds, it has however generalized its diet into attempting to grab whatever comes within reach of the tentacles be it a poor ‘fish’ or a stray polyph branch, its main prey is still the seeds of forensis descendants, the reason for this generalization is that its sense of taste has dulled but also to avoid major competition with flexicoles for food
reproduction
The same as all helidae, they sexually reproduce by letting loose into the water and asexually reproduce with themselves to produce eggs that are tucked under the shell until hatching
