Since T. ichthycetus had to migrate to the lower depths of zone 2 for 6 months every year, it was unable to receive the full nutrientional benefits from xanthensis as well as its prey. Due to several recent extinctions in zone 2 as well as predation by electrodontus, a group decided to migrated to zone 9 every winter. This group were able to reach exponential sizes from the year round availability of sunlight.

Tetraplacus gigantocetus feed on any planktonic organisms that made its way into it mouth. It’s a migratory species that lives in zone 2 during g the summer to take advantage of the midnight sun, migrates to zone 9 to avoid the polar night, and travels through zone 1 in between. As a result of this, it is able to grow to gigantic proportions, with the average adult being 3-4meters and oldest and biggest ones being 6-7meters. They breed during during to winter and nurse their young in zone 2 during the summer.
