Extinct (March 26th, 2020): loss of habitat

Evolved from S. sturgensis they gradually moved up stream to zone 14 and acclimated to freshwater they scavenging dead carcasses and bulbus species without competing much with C. subaquatica .

Found in zone 14 they grow up to 15cm. They feed by scavenging biofilm, detritus, dead carcass, B. aciecrescus and B. flumuancoris. They most eat biofilm, detritus, dead and carcasses but will occassinally eat bulbus species. They are not territorial and will not mind staying together or alone.

When breeding males would follow egg bearing females o the spot where the female is about to lay which they would fertilize the eggs. The females lay up to 30-50 eggs (but only 20-30 survive) in the muddy substrate. When the eggs hatch fry would then start feeding on the what adults feed on being fully independent of themselves.
