Solibacter riveresnis is a descendant of Solibacter aztos that resides in the watershed Zone 31 where S. aztos was commonly washed by rain. This 2μm cell is found mainly in the mud, or floating in the water, and it fixes nitrogen in the watershed, fertilizing it, as well as providing usable nitrogen for itself. It mainly reproduces by mitosis every 20 minutes, creating identical copies, but it is receptive to horizontal gene transfer, so that it does not fall into genetic depression from bad mutations building up. It lacks a nucleus. It has not needed to adapt much for life in the watershed, though it now removes excess water using vacuoles, and it can still adapt to sudden changes though it does not need to do so as much, and it still has a cell membrane and wall for protection. While dividing, it reabsorbs it's cell wall briefly for a nutrient boost, before rebuilding it once it has finished splitting.

It is orange.
