Small Rock Crab
A terrestrial sukopod species that lives in zone J. Found in zone J they have a carapace width of 15cm with a carapace length of 6cm they climb on rocks and live solitarily. They feed on Fungradi polarus and minerals in the rocks usually F. polarus breaks which they pick of the minerals to eat, they still are able to break or chip rocks howver. Using their mandibles to crush minerals and F. polarus. They use the minerals to gain the hardness of their shells. They have gills use to that store water in its carapace and creating bubbles to oxygenate itself it can survive up to 1 day without water and need to refill it water with either brackish or saltwater. When breeding males will find a female via smelling its pheromones that is released via gills the pheromones travel by air attracting any male nearby. The male mates on land(due to high salt concentrations can damage the embryo of the eggs and only can tolerate brackish) with the female and the female carries the eggs(up to 50-70 eggs only 30-45 survive due to failed molts, drowning and etc) to keep the eggs moist. Once the eggs hatch the babies go fully independent and fend for themselves. Their exoskeletons are chitin.
