Evolved from M. pygmybrachium they moved to zone 9 in search of more food and some predators that were hunting them chased the retreating M. pygmybrachium shoal towards zone 9. They evolved a new defense system by shoaling a way to confuse their predators. They increase reproduction of eggs so they can not be wipe out by its predators.

Found in zone 9 they grow up to 0.5cm-5cm. They are found in groups of 1000s. They feed on A. invictus, F. foliumegaeus, F. foliumicroeus, K. primaflotens, L. cytosol, L.fugitatus, O. gigantequitus, S. podius, S. stringiensis, S. xanthensis
and T. extensiensus. If provoked most would force molt a thin layer of their chitin shell as decoy and flee. They as well swim in a shoal dividing and twisting formations to confuse predators with a 'mesmerizing confusing'. They are found in open waters using their legs and tail to swim forwards or backwards in huge schools feeding on vegetation. They can breathe in water and air as well but if they ran out of water in their body they will die. Their chitin shell is made up of many thin layers so they can forcefully molt as a defence mechanism. Their colours are mostly blue to green in color to camouflage in the ocean.

When breeding they pair with each other and mate. Females carry up to 200-300 eggs (only 15-20) survive(this barely dents their population). Until the eggs hatch the female incubate the eggs. When they hatch the babies(hatch at 0.1cm long) ride on the females until they are 0.5cm which they follow the shoal.
