A descendent of P. longatumus, this tree evolved to utilize the growing tendencies of its ancestor (to grow farther horizontally than vertically) and made it instead twist in the middle of the trunk to help the plant grow taller and keep itself upright more easily. It has anywhere from 1-5 branches that grow only after the twist. Every branch, as well as the main trunk, grow anywhere from 2-6 large, blue-green leaves. The tree may grow as tall as 10 feet, and the leaves may grow up to 4 feet in length.
