4.6 feet long

These large carnivorous Tarates fly long distances searching for prey, once prey is spotted they will land and stalk in on the ground. At an opportune time they will charge and attack vital points by biting with their sharp teeth until the prey bleeds to death. The males are bright red to impress females and females a duller red for camouflage, this new coloration blends in among the clay soils and rocks of zone F, while both genders have magnificent crests to display to their mate. Pairs will have clutches of 5-8 young and care for offspring for around 11 months, this increased care is to ensure the young are able to establish a nest and hunt after leaving. Parents will forcefully chase out any offspring that stay around much longer. They will reach maturity in 4 years at which point they have no predators, as their large size and ability to fly allows them to avoid most conflicts with other Muscals. Their larger size was selected to render the wyvern able able to hunt larger Muscal prey rather than just nestlings and eggs.

Colonelsuchus eggus and Magievultverious stercorarius may raid unattended nests for eggs. Hatchlings are also vulnerable to most predators native to the zone like Anoteroslontus sarafacornis and opportunistic Aquaticasaurus aquacanthus.

Mature S-rex can often live for a long time, though the average is around a decade, the oldest wild individuals reach about 32 years. The longevity of the S-rex causes it to be difficult for new adults to find and establish territories with adults challenging each other for territory by rearing up and slapping each other, often bruising their opponents.

Due to its larger size, Magievultverious rex has developed a quadrupedal gait, this has been achieved awkwardly through the fusion of many wrist bones to form a solid surface, and typically the development of callouses along the foot after a while due to the stress imposed on them, this gait is advantageous because it is much more stable for stalking prey after seeking it out in the air.
