Members of Raikos electra that were caught on the chemosynthetic algaes of Zone 2 began taking advantage of the algaes using their stored electricity to kill the cells of the algae and absorbing the nutrients . This led to Raikos impulsachrisum.

Raikos impulsachrisum looks very similar to R. electra but has adapted to parasitizes Hexalgeara purpura, H. rosea, and F. ivorae. It will deliver small shocks to the cells of the algae to compromise their membrane by denaturing proteins in the membrane and making ir more permeable which caused them to burst. Once they've burst R. impulsachrisum will absorb the nutrients that spill out. It reproduces through mitosis and still reproduces at the extreme temperatures of hydrothermal vents. They are 7μm.
