Descended from V. cuniculum
Zone B
This new species of Vermislontus has evolved to further improve its burrowing abilities via a new corkscrew-like growth around the beak. They evolved the drill to avoid harsh winters and seek more food due the lower density of megaplortatus species. This new growth is made of the same material as the beak and simply spirals around the existing beak. This helps the creature burrow much easier, as the new beak acts as a drill to move soil much easier. They reside in zone B so as to avoid competition from its predecessor. As an advancement compared to its previous evo, this species is able to burrow up to a meter deep, generally residing around 20-60cm. Because of this new depth, its diet mainly consists of the deep roots of Megaplortatus sp, however when burrowing closer to the surface they will eat mostly anything, as they are very opportunistic feeders. Vermislontus drillus will become sexually mature at a month after hatching (typically growing around 20 centimeters in length) and will mate with the first sexually mature opposite-sex member that it comes across underground. Females will lay 20-25 soft eggs in a unique underground chamber dug every two months and will leave the eggs to fend for themselves.
