Putispargoslontus allium
This descendant of Vermislontus cocotus forages for decaying polyph matter (mainly Megaplortatus leaves) and food scraps on the forest ground. They do not burrow unlike Vermislontus cuniculum. Its stripes contrast strongly against eachother for species recognition (so that they do not accidentally reproduce with the wrong species of moxipod) and since they have come up with an effective anti-predator adaptation.
Rather than trying to flee when spooked, this flightless fifteen centimeter (15cm) moxipod will turn over to point its tail at a potential predator, such as a Draco brunus or Aerialslontus harpiensis, raise its tail up using its abdominal muscles, and forcibly spray out a liquified mixture of urine and feces out of its reproductive tract and anus. The resulting foul-smelling fluid is stuck onto the offender's face and makes the Vermislontus allium much less suitable to eat.
Vermislontus allium takes one month to mature and will reproduce with any suitable members of its species with the multistriped pattern once fully grown. Females can store the sperm of males and lay batches of between twenty (20) and thirty (30) soft eggs underneath leaves every two (2) to three (3) weeks.
Vermislontus allium will hibernate underneath leaves on the forest floor once the temperature reaches below twelve degrees Celsius (12°C) and wake back up when the temperatures rise back up.
