Evolved from K. killifoeto, the lack of predators and competitors caused the females to become selective of traits because there was no external selection. The males display by flaring their fins at females. Males develop a bright green coloration from a sustained diet of Plortale leaves, which shows overall fitness of the male as males which are less fit become duller. They also reduce size range as they do not lie in puddles anymore.

Found in zone 21 they get up to 14-20cm long They feed on M. coilus leaves, M. firmumsus leaves, M. stellafrons leaves, and M. sustensa leaves which have fallen on to water of zone 21 and also feed on B. eufloatus and B. floatus. They mostly spend their time on the surface searching for food. They are usually found in larger shoals of 60-100.

When spawning, males flare at females when they go near substrate to spawn. Males try to show of their bright fins to show how fit they are. When the female chooses a mate, they will mate and the female would lay up to 20-40 eggs. Once the eggs hatch the young are independent.
