Microdragon
While not resembling the actual definition of a dragon, it is often called the Microdragon due to its serpentine look and ferocity. It lives in Zone 30 swimming close to the rocks with eye-like organelles on the surface of the cell. These are not eyes, however, as there diet does not have anything to do with light and thus having eye-spots is unnecessary. Instead, these are here to detect a singular molecule, Ferric Oxide. As when a lot of the molecules are in the area, that implies that it's prey, Leucapil ferrum, is also abundant there. They are 30μm long and 10μm tall.
They swim to L. ferrum using the 3 bunches of 5 cilia each on either side of the body, following the area with the largest concentration of Ferric Oxide molecules. It is roughly three times the length of L. ferrum and can stretch up to twice the height to swallow them. When it bumps into something organic, it will try to swallow that thing whole- if it can't then it just gives up attempting to swallow and moves onto something else. If it succeeds, two things will happen. If it swallows a cell (which is more common) then it will digest the cell and split in half via mitosis. If it swallows something that is not a cell, the object will either kill it by wrecking havoc on the inside or just stay in the cell floating until it escapes by Microdragon dieing.
It is typically a dark brown, due to accidental ingestion of Ferric Oxide molecules. It is a member of the class Boreoleteria, splitting with the common ancestor of them and the Boreales when it swam southward to the New World.
