Meteora evolved from H. grallaeus that were being preyed upon by D. plumaprimis.

The shell surface no longer has a visible spiral, it is covered in crude spikes to discourage handling. Its claws are curved at an extreme angle to allow it to expose as little flesh as possible, keeping its shell opening pointed downward at all times. Its legs are not very maneuverable, making it exceptionally slow to walk around.

When disturbed, however, it quickly thrusts its spiky shell up towards the attacker to scare it off.

Like H. grallaeus and other Helix species, it eats primarily P. forensus seeds, but is also more happy to consume seeds of its descendants, such as P. ipsumsemenous.
