LOCATION/HABITAT: Zone b SIZE: (60.96 cm/2 ft) DESCRIPTION: A. terrastial is the descendent of A. flectopesus which migrated from the trees to the floor to not only avoid competition with others but, also to feed on an untapped resource a grass-like polyphyta known as L. clearensis (but will occasionally snack on other polyphyta) , they have longer guts and stronger enzymes to help break down the cellous of L. clearensis . A. terrastial are social, not because they are altruistic, but, as a way to avoid predation. A. terrastial has lost its ability to fly REPRODUCTION: The rudders of male A. terrastial are large and colorful to attract potential mates. Females (just like their ancestors) usually lay around 9-15 eggs near the trunks of trees and would cover fallen foliage on their eggs to camouflage them from predators but despite this only half of the 9-15 eggs survive into adulthood.
