Evolved from L. tallalla, it has grown taller to increase photosynthetic surface area and to extend over other polyphs.

Found in zone B they grow up to a max of 2.2 feet tall and grow up to 5-12 stems. They are still green and grow in thick carpets. They are eaten by D.brunus, D. rhenoscallium, K. killiskippus, M. dencaneus, M.duruhumeropellis, and T. gigaslothus. They will grow over and push out shorter polyphs that require high light environments.

They drop its seeds in January after blooming in December. They usually produce seeds on 1-3 stems with each stem having 7 seeds each.
