Extinct (February 26th, 2019): No reason provided.

Oslontus maculatus, descended from Oslontus disrentius in a similar way to Oslontus disambiguus, is a symbiotic cleaner species, feeding on parasitic algae and fungus, particularly Phungii chytridus. It’s similar appearance to O. disambiguus is simply an evolutionary coincidence, as these 2 species simply share a common ancestor and are not directly related. It lives in zone 23, and due to its symbiotic relationship with Cynopsis pyrrhosynopsm, it is not often preyed upon by them. It also evolved a dorsal fin to gain extra swimming speed, so as to escape any potential predation. Furthermore these Oslontus are only around 6cm in length. This smaller size is beneficial, as they can more easily clean the smaller regions of their hosts.
