Kelpflotensa Macrobrachium

From OurFoodChain

Evolved from exiled M. gigacherax that moved to zone 25 due to the competition of colony M. gigacherax which then started to live in Kelpflotensa species since Zone 25’s rocky substrate made it too hard to dig.

Found in zone 25 they hang on the leaves of Kelpflotensa species. They live in groups of 1-6, growing up to 14-18cm. They climb on Kelpflotensa with stems reaching at the bottom like K. submergus or K. anchorus if there is too much competition or looking for mates. When a kelpflotensa collides to another some will hop on to the other Kelpflotensa and drift away . They feed on leaves of K. anchorus, K. primaflotens, . submergus and an occasional young S. primus.

They usually stay on the top of Kelpflotensa species soaking itself in water to oxygenate itself again.

When breeding males will mate with females which then the females carry its on its tail up to 50-100 eggs but only 3-9 survive. When eggs hatch they let go of their mother and feed on the Kelpflotensa species or get drifted by the currents to other Kelpflotensa species.

Most specimens of their kind are coloured either dark green or light green.
