Sturgenmacrops is a evolution of sturgenousis. They evolved because there were too many sturgensis and sturgenousis. The herbivore and detrivore exploded in population because there was no competition or predators for them. Sturgenmacrops took the niche of being that predator. They eat both sturgensis and sturgenousis.
Looks: They have evolved to be a bit bigger than both sturgensis and sturgenousis so that it is easier to catch them. They have also evolved shorter fins so they can be more maneuverable to most easily catch the long finned sturgensis and sturgenousis in the shallow water of zone 10. They have slightly better eyesight than them so that they can see in the murky waters of zone 10.
Eating: They are now carnivores and will eat and catch sturgensis and sturgenousis. They will also eat any eggs of those species that they would find. But they will only eat eggs in the bottom ¾ of the plant. (see Reproduction). They digest slower than sturgenousis because animals are a lot harder to digest than detritus.
Reproduction: They reproduce the same way as their because they lay their eggs on the leaves of the plants, but where they lay it is different. Sturgenmacrops instinctively knows to lay their eggs near the tops of the leaves. They do not eat eggs from there so that the species continues on. Some sturgensis and sturgenousis may lay there also and those eggs will have protection from sturgenmacrops eating them. This is ok because it prevents sturgenmacrops from depleting their food supply too much. They reproduce slower than sturgenousis because they spend so much time digesting their hard to digest meal.
Defence: Because sturgenmacrops has no predators it did not specifically evolve defensive measures. Its large size and agility (because of its short fins) would be its main defence if any predators arise.
