Hexapiscus primitus

From OurFoodChain
Extinct (February 26th, 2019): No reason provided.

This algae eater evolved from P. duraspinus and moved into zone 3 to feed on A. greenensis. Its six lobed fins have grown to enable it to feed in larger areas, and it has evolved two dorsal fins to allow for tighter manouevring in small areas where algae might be growing or to hide from potential predators. They spawn in groups of 10-20 fry, with about two thirds of them surviving barring predation. They have increased in size due to the lower temperature and the amount of easily accessible food in the area.
