Gigantognathus is a genus of canetodes with larger members that have a needle surrounding their mouth which suck liquid from the seed carriers of cocktrees for nutrition. They are eyeless and instead locate their surroundings by echolocating with their crest to see in depth. The starter species of this genus is Gigantognathus erectus.
