These chemosynthetic producers live in the caves and underwater formations of zone 30. They use their long hyphae (a single individual's network measuring up to 2 cm in diameter) to break down the stone and create soil in its place. They achieve this via an acidic substance known as lapisecare, a byproduct of their chemosynthesis. They break down rocks with lapisecare, often causing minor collapses of caves, allowing them to take elements from the rock and water necessary for their chemosynthesis. They reproduce by releasing zoospores from hyphae that hang from whatever rock they're in, or else point upwards to release them into the water nearby. The zoospores then move to a rock using their flagella, which is then used to attach them to the rock and they start moving in. They grow half a millimeter per month at most, and only with ideal conditions.
